Berea and Avatars

Ahh, it's been a while, hasn't it? And I wonder if any of you are still reading my blog...haha, perhaps I should be more active in posting about my dreadfully uneventful life :) Only joking. In fact, the past week hasn't been as lacking in adventure as usual. I went to Camp Berea for a week (yipee!) and I had an amazing time. First and foremost, I know this is going to sound sort of cheesy or whatever, but in all honesty my relationship with the Lord has grown, I guess you could say. I've learned the importance of prayer in my everyday life, whereas beforehand I felt like I was talking to the wall. I'm sure we've all felt this way at one time or another...but I learned that if I write my prayers down on paper, it feels different. I'm not really sure how to explain it. Anywho, that's business between God and I, not you guys :) So onto the next subject. I fell in love with archery at Berea also...it's so much fun and it takes a lot of practice and concentration...it's exactly my kind of sport! Of course it's only my second favorite sport now (nothing will ever, EVER take place of riding for me). But still, it's extremely fun.
Hm...what else was I going to say? Oh, right, avatars. If you scroll waaaay way down you can see the new section of avatars I've put in. This one is for awesome Narnia avatars. Why? Because Narnia ROCKS. End of story :)

An Elaboration;

..on my last post. It wasn't very substantial :P But you get the picture, right? EPIC. I'm gonna write down some things that I noticed in the movie, and that made the movie for me, but I'm going to warn you:

Oh, and also, these are all my ideas. I know Meghan posted a review before me but these are all my opinions, and I saw the movie before her anyways.
I don't want to spoil anything for you so.

First of all..
WOAH. Edmund MATURED. Since the last movie, he has finally developed into a young man. His dialogue is nearly always sarcastic or clever, and he's even a better fighter this time around. He beats someone up with a flashlight for goodness' sake. He seems to have learned his lesson since LWW, and we can see that especially when he basically pulverizes the White Witch when she's trying to return.
Peter's character is as noble as it was in LWW, but I think he's better portrayed in this movie because he's not as "perfect"; we do see some flaws. He is an incredible swordsman and a good leader, even though he and Caspian do butt heads sometimes. Not to mention he's cute o_O So is Ed..aah you didn't read that. Moving on.
Susan became INTENSE. She's all like...BAM YOU GOT SERVED! She is like amazing at archery, and I'm going to agree with Meghan on this one; she is like the female Legolas. Admittedly Susan has inspired me to try archery at Berea this summer. She's my favorite character also =]
Even Lucy has matured since LWW.. she's not the "baby" anymore. She is the one who finds Aslan again when all hope seems lost, and her faith remains intact even in the hardest times. She even portrays unfailing trust when she stands next to Aslan and doesn't even flinch as an entire army comes after her. She also rides through the forest alone with Telmarine soldiers on her tail. Uh.. yeah. That's intense.

The battle/fighting scenes are like WOAH! The imagery is amazing, every single one of the actors played their characters well, and everything was so well coordinated and believable I felt like I was in Narnia (I wish). Some of the scenes got my heart pounding, and I sometimes forgot I was in the movie theater and was totally captivated by what was happening on screen.

I think I could write so much more about this... but my head's still spinning from the AWESOMENESS. All I can say is wooooooooaaaaaaah, this is officially one of my all-time favorite movies!!

I just started a blog post for you all to read.. but it turned out very long and very emotional. Eventually it transformed into something so personal, I chose not to put it up here. I only want a select few people to read it, sorry if you're not one of them..

Oh, the Wonders of Vacation

Even if it is only for a short while. Enjoy it while it lasts, fellow adolescents, vacation is rare..

Alright, enough of my vacation philosophy. I often get bored during vacations, simply because my hometown is as boring as a nursing home naptime in the middle of nowhere. And all my friends live in different towns, and unfortunately, some in different states. Also, the barn is like...two towns over, which makes Brianna horse-deprived, leading to Brianna being happy-deprived. If I could, I would be at the barn every possible waking moment. No joke.

Anyways, I managed to have a sleepover with Meghan and Rachel this weekend. So yay for that! And I'm also staying at my sisters dorm on Thursday! Yippeee. Oh, and I'm planning to do something with my hair. The salons open tomorrow so...mwahahahaha. Only a choice few people know of my plans. The rest of you get surprised :)

Alrighty, enough of my "I-feel-an-obligation-to-post-about-absolutely-nothing" rant. Ta-ta.

Attic=Room?

My room is, eventually, going to be in the attic. But because the attic looks like an elephant ate the contents of three Dumpsters and then exploded, it's taking a lot (emphasis on the LOT) of work to clean up/out up there. Also, about 15/16ths of the junk up there doesn't even belong to me, so while I clean up my own mess I also have to organize my siblings/parents stuff, too. It's not too comfy either...my brother is a hoard, so there are Legos, playing cards, random fluff from a Buzz Lightyear he mutilated, etc. strewn about my floor. I swear, I go to bed at night and find Legos embedded in my feet (okay, exaggeration, but STILL). I have my clothes up there in my (finished) closet (yay!), but there is still a lot of work to be done (i.e. sorting clothes, selling clothes, giving clothes away, ripping clothes to shreds when I get frustrated, clothesclothesclothesclothes). Did I mention that there is a lingering scent of smoke? And those ashes on my desk? And before you ask, no I don't smoke. But I recently tested out my previously un-tested pyromania and...voila, bye-bye bad test grades! So just in case you ever find yourself wondering 'What's Brianna's attic like?', there you go. Bam.

Oh, and, by the way, I'm switching shops again. Wee. Adios carpentry. Helloooo drafting.

I'm Astonished..

Astonished by the impact that books can have on a persons emotions, thought process, even their daily life. How a character's thoughts and actions can cause you to re-examine yourself, how a storyline can plunge you deep into introspect, and through reading about someone else's life-whether fictional or not-you can learn about yourself.
Simply amazing.

On a less psychotic note, or well...it could be more psychotic, but whatever: I was so dang hyper today! I was spinning around in circles, making odd noises sporadically, having spontaneous giggling fits, and lip synching to songs I don't even like. I was going to video tape some of it for you too, but the camera died. I'll see what I can do about charging it ;)

Everytime I Get On a Horse...

I re-discover my passion for riding. Every single time.

I don't feel like going into an elaborate description right now, but I'll give you a visual.

Imagine...watching people taking their horses out for their first real run in months, elated looks on their faces as they race around the ring on rambunctious animals, eager to finally stretch their legs. The first orange glow of sunshine since the winter is painted on the sky, the perfect backdrop for such a beautiful scene. The horses and riders look in perfect unison, the girls with grins on their faces and the horses having so much fun as they throw a couple of bucks and chase eachother around in circles. You're watching the greatest sport--no, make that lifestyle--on Earth, and then...it's your turn.

Hip, hip, HOORAY! No school, no homework, no classes...yay! Vacation is an awesome invention. Whoever thought that up was a genius ;) I absolutely CANNOT wait for the 30 Hour Famine, it's gonna be a blast just like always! Forget the title. I had nothing else to put. Anyways, I hope you all have like, the best Christmas and New years everrrrrr :D I can't wait for Berea...ASJKLJDSLKJSDK it's like next week! WHO'S GOING?! I am (: Oh oh, I got a guitar, and I'm starting to learn how to play. I can play the beginning of "Ode to Joy" on two strings...hehe. It's a start. Mm, and I also got like...a $300 phone for free. It was this amazing rebate thing that I couldn't pass up...I'm still in awe haha ;) It's a green enV...I got the green one 'cause the salesmen said most people got silver and I don't wanna be like most people. It's a pretty green though, with a keyboard! I needed a keyboard cell phone 'cause I text WAY WAY WAY more than I call people. So, yep. That's basically my recap of last week, because I haven't posted in a few days. And I haven't been riding for like, five weeks. Which stinks a LOT for me, but I'll survive.
